Knowing When to Accelerate or Brake: Healthy vs. Harmful Relationships

Police Station
In this application assignment, imagine you are a police officer. You are currently writing up a case file for a teenager who came into the station. Below is information you have included in your report:

Case File Of: Wyatt Johnson
Height: 5 feet, 10 inches
Weight: 119 pounds
Age: 15
Complaint Filed: Wyatt has not seen his parents for three days, leaving him to care for his two younger siblings, Julia and Frank. All three children seem scared, and are running out of food in the house. Wyatt did not know what to do when his sister cut her foot on broken glass from a liquor bottle his mother left on the floor. That is why he decided to come to the police station. He is worried he cannot properly care for his siblings. Last time his parents disappeared, it was for a week.

Use what you have learned in this topic to complete the police report, including a description of what is going on in Wyatt’s family. Make sure to describe elements of a healthy or unhealthy relationship, as well as whether you think the teen was justified in reporting the incident to the police. This section of the police report should be eight-to-ten sentences long.
