Individual Sports
A sport is a competition between two or more people that requires physical activity, physical fitness, and skill. There are a variety of individual sports that you can try. Track and field, gymnastics, and martial arts are all examples of sports. Competing in sports requires you to work towards enhancing your athleticism, sportsmanship, and the skills particular to your chosen sport. Good nutrition will help your body keep up with the demands of training, practice, and competition.
Individual sports provide you the chance to engage in one-on-one competition. Some individual sports can be scored as team sports, such as track and field, or gymnastics. The actual performance in these types of sports, however, is individual. Your school, local parks and recreation department, local organizations, and private businesses offer opportunities to become involved in sports.
