Cardiovascular Training

cardiovascular systemCardiovascular training is extremely important to reduce your risks for potential problems and disease. As you learned throughout this topic, the heart is the organ responsible for pumping oxygen, blood, and nutrients throughout the body. By participating in proper cardiovascular training, you keep your heart healthy.

Go to the library or use the Internet to conduct further research on the heart. Then, make a diagram of the heart and label the way the blood circulates through it. You need to label the four chambers of the heart, the aorta, the valves, arteries, and veins. Make sure the diagram is visually appealing.

In addition, explain in paragraph form how the blood circulates through the body and how the heart is part of that process. Make sure to use the parts of the heart in your explanation as well as the other parts of the circulatory system, including: arteries, blood, blood vessels, capillaries, and veins.

Before you begin, access the Cardiovascular System Diagram and Explanation Checklist to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit.
