You are deeply concerned about your friend and would like to communicate your concerns. You have decided to write your friend a letter discussing the signs he or she is exhibiting suggestions on how to get help.

You should address the following issues in your letter:

  1. What are the signs your friend is exhibiting?
  2. How will the eating disorder affect your friend's overall health and well-being in both the short-term and long-term?
  3. How can your friend receive help?

As you write your letter, include the following elements:

  1. Salutation
  2. Body of Letter
    1. Introduction of topics (ex: signs, effects, and help)
    2. Use research and data to support your discussion
    3. Provide specific information on where your friend can receive help
  3. Conclusion
    1. Restate main ideas
    2. Summarize and conclude your letter
