The Water Cycle and Local Communities
You've been asked to explain to local political leaders how activities within their communities harm the water cycle, especially for those communities near the ocean. You'll also need to provide the political leaders with helpful information they can share with their constituents on ways to reduce the impact of their everyday activities on the water cycle.
In your presentation, provide the following elements:
- A detailed explanation of the importance of the water cycle to life on Earth.
- How you believe communities near the ocean benefit from a healthy water cycle.
- A carefully labeled illustration of the water cycle and identify the points harmed by human activity, with an example of each.
- At least three helpful, actionable steps that the political leaders can bring back to their communities. Each step must have a thorough description and be appropriate to communities near the ocean.
