Global Water Cycle

Proto-planetary Disk

Water covers nearly two-thirds (2/3) of The Earth's surface, and the oceans account for approximately 97 percent of all Earth's water. The water cycle plays a critical role in transporting water and nutrients between the surface and the atmosphere. All life depends on the water cycle in some way, and many other important nutrient cycles interact with the water cycle to help support the Earth's great diversity of life.
