You may have seen advertisements for sports cars that boast about the “zero to sixty” times of a car. For example, one 2010 model sports car can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Meanwhile, a 1980 model from the same company goes from zero to 60 mph in 15.7 seconds. What do you think this number a measure of, and why should you care? Would the experience in the 2010 model be different than the experience in the 1980 model?
