Projectiles Launched at an Angle

In Physics, you may ask:

  • Will the kick make it over the crossbar to score a field goal?
  • Will the tennis serve hit the court inside the line?
  • Where does the outfielder need to be to catch the ball, or will the hit result in a home run?

To answer these questions and more, you need to expand your look at projectile motion to include projectiles launched at an angle.

Please be aware that the site will open in a new window and you will need to allow the program to open. If you need help opening the program please visit the Developmental Module of this course. Follow the directions in the instructions as you work through the simulation.

Open up this activity, following the directions and answering the questions as you work through the simulation. This is not a graded exercise. Refer back to it as you work through he lesson to see what new knowledge you have gained.
