Social Relations - Conflict, Cooperation, and Attraction
Social Relations Collage
Now that you have examined examples of social relations, you will create a collage to illustrate these concepts. Your collage should include overlapping images and words that use examples from history to illustrate at least one specific instance of each of the following areas:
- Prejudice
- Aggression
- Cooperation
- Altruism
- Attraction
For each of the five categories, include an image that clearly illustrates the concept. In addition, describe the images in your own words, including what is happening, and when and where it occurred. Also, define the concept, and explain how the related image is an example.
Options to create your collage include the following:
- Cut out images from magazines, newspapers, and other forms of print media to assemble your collage, and then scan it for submission to the assignment's dropbox.
- Cut out images from magazines, newspapers, and other forms of print media to assemble your collage, and then take a picture of it for submission to the assignment's dropbox.
- Use digital images and a word processing, presentation, paint, or graphics program to assemble your collage, and then submit it to the assignment's dropbox.
Your collage should be creative, informative, accurate, and well-organized. Before you begin, access the Social Relations History Collage Checklist to make sure you include all items required for full credit. You will need to use resources outside of this course to complete the assignment, so please submit a Works Cited document with your assignment submission. If you need assistance, visit the Developmental Module for information on citing any resources that you used.
Once you have completed your collage, please submit your work to the dropbox.
