survey iconCore Values Road SignNow that you have learned the influences nature and nurture may have on a person's life, you will examine the impact nurture has had on your own life. Below you will find a list of values. Read the list and rate each value in order of importance from one to eight (1 = most important and 8 = least important). View a printable version of the Values Ratings List.

Compare your list to your guardian's list. After comparing both lists, respond to the following bullet points in seven to ten sentences.

  • Discuss the similarities and differences in your ratings and your guardian's ratings.
  • Explain possible reasons for these similarities and differences.
  • Provide an opinion on the role of nature and nurture on the development of values.

Before you begin, access the Parents' Role in Children's Values Checklist to make sure you include all of the items required for full credit.
