Intelligence

graphic organizer iconVenn diagrams are graphic organizers that show the similarities and differences between two or more items. Using the information you learned in this topic, construct a Venn diagram to organize your knowledge about three of the intelligence theories associated with the below psychologists:

  • Charles Spearman, General versus Specific Intelligence
  • Robert Sternberg, Triarchic Theory of Intelligence
  • Howard Gardner, Theory of Multiple Intelligences
  • Daniel Goleman, Theory of Emotional Intelligence

Your diagram should include three circles that overlap in the middle and are each labeled with the names of one of the psychologists. Please look at the image on this page for an example. For each psychologist's individual circle, list three unique characteristics that pertain to his specific theory. Then, in the area in which the circles overlap (indicated by a grey color), list two characteristics that the theories share. Try to list at least one characteristic which all three theories share in the location where all of the circles overlap (indicated by a grey color).
