Therapy
Different therapies use unique approaches to help individuals suffering from psychological disorders. Therapeutic methods typically are individualized based on a therapist's perspective about causes for psychological issues their clients have. For example, cognitive therapy seeks to change people's thoughts. Behavioral therapy on the other hand, uses conditioning to change behavior, while humanistic therapy tries to help individuals reach their full potential and improve self-esteem. Another approach, psychodynamic therapy, attempts to uncover unconscious, unresolved conflicts. Finally, biological therapy uses a medical approach. Studies show that therapy helps almost everyone improve over time.
