Executive Powers

Baseball CardsOver the years, there have been many types of collectible trading cards. These small cardboard cards have featured everything from baseball players to comic book characters. Typically, the front of these cards features an image of some kind, while the back lists statistics, back story, or other relevant information, depending on the type of card. For this assignment, you will create three trading cards that feature the roles of the President.

On the front side of the card, you should include the presidential role (Commander-in-Chief, Chief Executive, etc.) and a hand-drawn or clip-art image related to the role. The reverse side of your card should include three to five sentences that explain and give details about the role. Where appropriate, include an explanation of how the presidential role relates to the system of checks and balances.

You may need to conduct research for statistics or other information about the presidential role. If so, you will need to properly cite any external resources that you incorporate. Please see the Developmental Module for more information about properly citing resources. Before you begin, review the Presidential Trading Cards Checklist so that you understand how your assignment will be graded.
