Immigration Current Event

The debate over immigration policy has gone on in this country since its beginnings, and will continue to occur. Martina and Terrance need your assistance in identifying a current event related to the immigration debate. Using the Internet, newspapers, magazines, or other news sources, identify a story about immigration into the United States of America. Then, complete a synopsis of your news story. Your report should include a five-sentence synopsis, and an explanation of your own personal opinion about the article's topic.

Before you begin, access the Immigration Current Event Checklist to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit. You will need to use resources outside of this course to complete this assignment, so please submit a Works Cited document. If you need assistance, visit the Developmental Module for information on citing any resources that you used.

Once you have completed the assignment, please submit your report, a copy of the original article, and a Works Cited document to the dropbox.
