Terrance witnesses the start of the Revolutionary War

Wow! Martina and Terrance have taken you through a lot of tense disagreements between the colonists and the British government. You explored how the French and Indian War caused the British government to try to control the colonists through the use of new laws like the Proclamation of 1763 and the Stamp Act. The colonists did not appreciate the increased attempts at control and trampling of their rights, so they resisted through events such as the Boston Tea Party and the meetings of the First and Second Continental Congresses. Neither side could come to an agreement, and blood was spilled when the colonial minutemen fought back against the British army. Many colonists wanted independence from England, but some remained loyal to England, while others tried to stay neutral.
