Causes and Start
People choose sides for a variety of different reasons, and under many different circumstances. Sometimes people choose a side or position because family or friends support it. At other times, you may find yourself selecting a position that benefits you alone. Think of a moment in your life when it was necessary for you to choose a side, to align yourself on one side or another of a conflict. Perhaps one of your conflicts involved the time that your school begins for the day. Maybe the conflict is about the types of food that should be sold in the cafeteria. It is quite possible that your conflict revolves around a coach's decision during an important part of a game. How did you choose the conflict? What factors led you to make your choice? Make sure to describe the conflict and a few reasons for your decision.
