Hungarian Jewish mothers, children, elderly, and the infirmed arriving at the Auschwitz concentration camp.
They will be murdered in the gas chamber soon after (May 1944).
Notice the boy left of the center of this photograph with the Star of David on his coat. The Nazi government required all Jewish residents over the age of 5 to wear this badge on their outer garement. Why do you think they were required to wear this visible sign of their religious belief? How would you feel if you were a member of a group that was required to wear an outward symbol on your clothing indicating your membership?
