Dimensional Analysis

Dimensional analysis is one of the most important concepts that you will study in chemistry. Not only does it expand your thinking skills, but it comes in handy in the rest of your life. In fact, you might already be doing some simple dimensional analysis and do not even know it. Perhaps you have been to the gas station and only had a certain amount of money with you.  You may have made a rough estimate in your head to determine just how many gallons of gas you could buy with that amount. That would involve a little bit of simple dimensional analysis.  There are lots of ways that chemists and other people use dimensional analysis to solve everyday problems.
