Molecular Polarity

Molecular PolarityMolecular polarity is a measure of how electrons are distributed in the outer regions of the molecule. How is the molecular polarity of a molecule determined? To determine molecular polarity, you must take the sum of all of the bond polarities. View this presentation to learn how to determine the polarity of a molecule. You will also view examples of both polar and nonpolar molecules.

Molecular Polarity Review

Review ImageSelf Check IconNow that you have investigated molecular polarity, review your knowledge in this non-graded activity. In this activity, drag the positive and negative symbol to the correct locations on the diagram. If the molecule is neutral, drag both symbols and drop them over the neutral symbol.
