The Writing Process
You are on a roll! Now it is time to demonstrate what you have learned about the writing process. You will use the Prewrite and Organize steps of the POWER strategy as if you were writing an essay related to the prompt below:
| Prompt: You have entered into a contest to win one million dollars. One of the requirements of the contest is to name the first three purchases you would make with this money, and explain why. Make sure to explain your reasons clearly. |
Download the POWER Strategy Organizer and Checklist, and use it to complete the Prewrite and Organize steps on the prompt shown above. Also, you may wish to download the Example Outline to help you develop your own in the organize step on the POWER Strategy Organizer.
Refer to the checklist to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit. If you use resources outside of this course to complete this assignment, please submit a Works Cited document with your assignment submission.
