Being flexible allows you to perform many tasks, such as reaching for items and bending over to pick something up more easily.  Being flexible is not only important for athletes, but it is important for everyone! 

Flexibility, which is the ability to move joints and muscles through a full range of motion, is vital in your overall level of fitness because it helps your balance and coordination, and helps prevent injuries.  There are many factors, such as age, gender, and level of physical activity, that can influence a person's level of flexibility.
