Exercise and Stress

Physical activity can relieve the effects of stress. Specifically, by being physically active, you can increase your endorphins, which are chemicals produced by your body that make you feel good. In this topic, you will examine how physical activity reduces stress and its harmful effects. You will choose a stress-relieving physical activity to complete as part of your physical activity requirement. During the Application section of this topic, you will also be required to complete and submit a fitness log. Please refer to the Fitness Log instructions in the Developmental Module, download the Fitness Log to your computer, and have it accessible as you progress throughout this topic.
