Since the United States never declared war on Vietnam, the exact length of the war is debatable. However, the most accepted length is roughly twenty years, from November 1955 until April 1975. During this time period, 47,000 Americans were killed, in addition to 11,000 non-combat related deaths, 150,000 wounded, and 10,000 missing. When compared to the American Civil War, nearly twice as many men died. What do you consider the worst war in American history? Do you feel the Vietnam War was the worst war?
