The Vietnam War
In this topic, you learned about the Vietnam War, and the opposition to the war that many American's experienced. You also learned the reasons why America joined the conflict, and how presidents handled the war.
Many movies exist about the Vietnam War and they often cover impacts the war had on American citizens. In this assignment, pretend you are a graphic designer responsible for producing a DVD cover for a new movie on the Vietnam War. You can choose to base your cover on the experiences of the war, the opposition to the war at home, America’s reasons for joining the war, or the handling of the war by United States presidents.
Before you begin, access the Vietnam DVD Cover Design Checklist to make sure you include all of the items required for full credit. If resources outside of this course are used to complete the assignment, please submit a Works Cited document. Options to create your DVD cover include the following;
- Access the DVD Cover Template, and hand-draw the assignment. Take a picture of the assignment for submission to the assignment’s drop-box.

- Utilize a paint or graphics program to create your own DVD cover.
- Use an online DVD cover creator and follow the prompts provided by the website to name your cover, select your background images, and then populate your cover with the required items for this assignment. When you have completed your cover, you can print it and scan it or photograph it for submission to the assignments dropbox.
- Use a mobile or computer-based application to create your DVD cover and email, screen shot, or export the final product for submission to the assignment’s dropbox.
Once you have completed your DVD cover, please submit your work to the dropbox.
