World War I
World War I was a complex period in history that people of every age should understand, so similar conflicts are not perpetuated in the future. Help youth start learning about World War I by writing a short children’s story that explains why the United States became involved in the Great War, the positive and negative consequences of this decision, and how the nation participated in the peace negotiations.
Include characters, dialogue, and at least one visual in your short children’s story.
Before you begin, access the World War I Children's Story Checklist to make sure you include all of the items required for full credit. You may need to use resources outside of this course to complete the assignment. If so, please submit a Works Cited document. If you need assistance, visit the Developmental Module for information on citing resources that you used.
