Pretend that you are a person living in Europe right after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo and during the Congress of Vienna. Using either a conservative or liberal perspective, write a eight to ten sentence newspaper editorial about the Congress of Vienna.
First, choose the European country that you will represent. Then, start your editorial with a catchy title that lets the reader know your opinion of the Congress of Vienna. In your editorial, include a summary of the events at the meeting from a conservative or liberal perspective. Be sure to address at least three decisions made at the Congress and your opinions about them. For more information on writing a newspaper editorial, visit the Developmental Module.
