Cellular Membranes

Take a moment to examine the images of cells and their surrounding membranes. You already know that the cell membrane protects the cell from the external environment and controls what substances enter and exit the cell. As you study the pictures, consider the following questions: Which of the two cells do you think is more efficient at transporting materials through the cell? Why?
