Now that you know more about the basics of economics and making economic decisions, compose a letter to your parents/guardians explaining why you need an increase in your allowance. In your one page letter, be specific regarding your needs and wants. Explain why some of the prices for the items you need or want have gone up due to supply and demand as well as inflation.

Since you may need to conduct research for statistics or other information that you find persuasive, please be sure to properly cite those resources with an accompanying bibliography. Information on how to cite resources can be found in the Developmental Module. Before you begin, review the Allowance Letter Checklist so that you understand how your assignment will be graded.
