Ancient Greek theater, a celebration originating from ritual, embraced the culture and values of Ancient Greece. The theater was the popular form of entertainment for this time period. Theaters were built outside using the natural beauty of the landscape. The audience was expected to attend and participate in theater productions. Within the theater, costumes, masks, and props were used to enhance the performance.

From the acting came great tragedies. In the tragedy, the hero possessed a tragic flaw. This flaw changed the path of the hero’s journey. As the hero discovered more about him or herself, the journey was forever altered.
