Tools for Survival

infographic exampleartist iconIn order to achieve your long-term and short-term goals, you must regularly incorporate strategies to remain positive, stay on track, and attain success. Repeating your personal affirmations each day can help empower you in difficult times. In the Topic Warm-Up, you thought about a daily affirmation. In this application, you will create an infographic which will focus on your goals, strategies, and daily affirmations that you can use to motivate yourself each day and especially during moments of doubt and defeat. Infographics, also called information graphics, convey pieces of information using visual representations. When designing your Infographic, be sure to include the following components:

  • Two short-term and two long-term goals that reflect who you are and what you want for your future
  • Two affirmations
  • At least one strategy you can apply toward each goal

Your infographic should be well-organized, but it should also be graphically interesting and attractive. This infographic can not only communicate your goals, strategies, and affirmations clearly to your teacher but also serve as a visual source of inspiration for you to reflect on throughout your high school career. Before you begin, review the Goals, Strategies, and Affirmations Checklist to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit.
